Michael Allen, born in Kingston, Jamaica, immigrated to the USA in 1977. From 1997 to 2002, he was Assistant Pastor at The Moody Church, and from 2005 to 2020, he served as Senior Pastor at Uptown Baptist Church (Chicago, IL). He's also Vice Chairman of the Board at Pacific Garden Mission in Chicago (since 1998) and Co-Founder/CSO of Together Chicago (since 2017). Married to Marilza, they have four children. Michael holds an associate's degree in applied computer electronics, a BA in biblical studies from Trinity International University, and an MDiv in urban ministry from TIU's Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.
