Jackie Odhiambo is the Founder and Executive Director of Nyanam Widows Rising. She completed her bachelor's degree at Williams College in the United States, earned a Master of Science in international public health from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, and is currently pursuing a PhD in public health through a joint program between Maseno University in Kenya and the University of California, San Francisco. Her dissertation explores the nature and effects of widowhood stigma in Africa. Her vision is an Africa where widows thrive.
