Nonprofit Accelerator

WE BELIEVE THAT THE TYPE OF COMMUNITY THAT SURROUNDS FOUNDERS AND VENTURES IS THE PRIMARY FACTOR IN SHAPING THEIR HEALTH, VISION, IMPACT, CULTURE AND SUCCESS.

Our unique program is not your typical accelerator: it is global, cross-sector, non-residential, and focused on how the formation of the leader is upstream from the formation of the venture. The three events and alumni involvement is designed to shape the trajectory of the entrepreneur's relationships - with our team, inspiring peers, generous mentors, our broad network, and values-aligned capital, the prorgram takes place within a setting that is focused on the personal and spiritual formation of the founder. Not a set of conferences or networking events, we select 12 ventures into our community each year. These Praxis Fellows have intimate interaction with mentors through small roundtable discussions and multiple custom matched one-on-ones, as well as large-format opportunities to share their work, all over the course of three gatherings.

Current Program Dates

Gathering One
REFINING THE FUNDAMENTALS  |  Hudson Valley, NY

April 16-20, 2018

Just north of Manhattan, in the spring of beautiful Hudson Valley, twenty mentors will gather with our Fellows at a private lodge to examine their organizational growth and personal leadership, ultimately entering into a new community of relationships and often a renewed vision for the intersection of their faith and work.

Gathering Two
BUILDING THE ORGANIZATION  |  Playa Del Rey, CA

July 9-12, 2018

Held at a private venue near the beach in Los Angeles, Fellows and a new group of mentors will again convene to share progress and gain insights into the process of building a high-impact organization. In what often feels like a reunion, Fellows reconvene to build on key learnings from the field and take the conversation to the next level of depth.

Gathering Three
PROGRAM FINALE  |  Miami, FL

September 21-23, 2018

The program culminates with an event held within The Gathering's annual conference for major philanthropists. Fellows share their vision for shaping culture through their venture with over 150 givers, including the opportunity to pursue new relationships and funding.  As the program wraps up, Fellows say farewell to each other as they transition into our active alumni community, where we continue to support their work and lives.

Our Nonprofit Accelerator includes an international travel fund that offers a 50/50 matching grant of up to $2,500 per Fellow during the program. This is a pass-through grant, provided by a single Praxis donor. In order to be eligible, Fellows must be working on the ground in the developing world.

PROGRAM FEES

Through our generous donors, we are able to subsidize our Accelerator program expenses, which result in the high quality, cost effective, accessible program listed below.

$8,000 (Nonprofit Fellowship)

$3,000 (Additional Seat for 2nd Fellow)

The rate includes all food and accommodations while at the three main Accelerator events (10 nights). International fellows may also be eligible for a travel stipend.

Due to program size and admission process, if for any reason a Fellow cannot participate in an event, refunds cannot be given for program fees (even in extenuating circumstances).
