Philip Lorish is a Praxis Venture Partner for Cultural Research. He also is Director of Research for New City Commons and fellow of The Institute for Advanced Studies in Culture at the University of Virginia. At Praxis, Philip helps founders understand how their ventures fit within emergent cultural trends and the history of Christian thought. He holds a PhD in Theology, Ethics, and Culture from the University of Virginia, an M.Phil in Christian Ethics from Oxford, and a BA in Philosophy from Furman. He is currently working on a book on the future of work, Our Permanent Problem: Work and Meaning in the 21st Century.
