Philip Lorish

Philip Lorish is Director of Research at New City Commons and Fellow at The Institute for Advanced Studies in Culture at the University of Virginia. He is currently responsible for "Vocation and the Common Good," a three-year research project exploring the possibilities for faithful Christian presence within nine discrete sectors of modern life. He is also creator, editor, and lead author for Culture Briefing. Philip holds a BA in Philosophy from Furman University, an M.Phil in Christian Ethics from Oxford University, and an MA and PhD in Theology, Ethics, and Culture from the University of Virginia. He lives in Charlottesville with his wife, Lisa, and their three children.
