Unshattered

Kelly is the Founder and CEO of Unshattered - a 501c3 nonprofit social enterprise whose mission is to end the addiction relapse cycle through ethical, sustainable fashion. A physicist and engineer by training, Kelly is now a thought leader in post-addiction employment models. Previously a Fortune 20 executive, Kelly left the corporate world to begin Unshattered. The organization provides job skills training and employment for women in recovery to help them build pathways toward economic stability and sustained sobriety. In nearly 7 years of employing women in recovery Unshattered has experienced only a single relapse for an employee. The women of Unshattered make premium handbags from upcycled materials, including the original 1955 Mercedes-Benz upholstery, scrap from high-end design firms, and through their partnership with Southwest Airlines, upcycled leather seats from their planes. Unshattered invests in personal and professional development to help women move toward their highest level of success and contribution. The success of Unshattered has been lauded as far as the White House, which recognized Unshattered for its creative and effective work in fighting the opioid crisis. Unshattered was named the Nonprofit of the Year by THiNK Dutchess, won the MHAFP award for Innovation in Philanthropy, and was named Best Social Enterprise by Hudson Valley Magazine, which also named Kelly as one of the top business women of the Hudson Valley. The organization has been featured by Huffington Post, NBC Nightly News, CBS News, Fox Business, ABC News, and The Advocate. Kelly lives in Hopewell Junction, NY, with her husband and her rescue dog Bell. Her title is CEO, but her calling is Ambassador of Possibility. Learn more at unshattered.org.
