Mallory Dwinal is the Co-founder & CEO of Oxford Day Academy, a multicultural social leadership academy serving high school students in East Palo Alto, CA. Mallory graduated summa cum laude from Northwestern University, completed a Ph.D. in Education from Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar, and additionally, finished an MBA from Harvard Business School. Mallory was a 2011 Teach for America corps member, serving as a high school Spanish teacher in the Anacostia Ward of Washington, DC. She now lives with her husband, Chase, and younger sister, Rachel, in Menlo Park, CA.
Co-created with young people and their families, Oxford Day Academy is a public charter high school in San Mateo County, California. ODA students spend half of their time in the community completing real-world internships, and then use these experiences to design think their way through social issues that matter most to them. Teachers use Oxford-style tutorials to connect academics with these service projects. ODA is now partnering with senior faculty at the University of Oxford to find a way to educate the next generation of teachers from around the globe.
