Louise Wasilewski is CEO and Co-Founder of Acivilate. A former teenage rocket engineer, she spent twenty-five years in business and technology roles in the media and telecommunications industry, including KPMG Consulting. Louise loves doing things that have not been done before. She worked on standards for digital television and Metro Ethernet, a high-speed data technology, bringing both to market. She is passionate about helping families involved in the justice system, as her family was, and was surprised to find how little technology was available to help. Louise and husband, Robert, live in Atlanta, GA.
Acivilate is a for-profit enterprise technology company on a mission to make the justice system work better for everyone. The Acivilate team combines technology, corrections and human services expertise to balance the needs of professionals and ex-offenders. Their Pokket app provides structure to help probation officers work with ex-offenders and human services providers, when privacy rules and disparate technology would otherwise get in the way. The offender knows what to do, and is less overwhelmed by their obligations. With better communication, the professionals can intervene before a challenge becomes a crisis, focusing their time where it has highest impact.
