Seed Effect is a Christ-centered, nonprofit microfinance organization. Our mission is to empower struggling families to overcome physical and spiritual poverty by providing access to microloans, education, and spiritual discipleship. We are committed to bringing Jesus and economic empowerment to the hard places where most others won’t go. Since launching in South Sudan in November 2009, Seed Effect has served more than 1,600 clients with nearly 4,000 small business loans totaling more than $1,000,000 while maintaining a repayment rate of 99.5%. Working with an indigenous team, we seek to build a sustainable program that is transformative in the communities we serve.
