Allen is the Co-Founder of EPAMade with wife, Ayaka. Allen has a B.S. in Information Systems. His career includes launching 2 eCommerce brands overhauling a $350 million operation at American Eagle Outfitters, managing 110 employees and growing the operation from a $25 million to $75 million business as VP of Technology & Operations at ModCloth. He now runs Business Development for Jeremy Lin, the NBA Point Guard, and has also produced a documentary on Lin called Linsanity.
Ayaka is the Director of EPAMade. She has a B.A. in Communication Design and Human Computer Interaction, and has worked in youth education design with Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood’s company Family Communication. Her team received an Honorable Mention in I.D. Magazine’s Annual Design Review for innovation in the design research process. She currently leads creative direction, product manufacturing, and discipleship with the team while praying to see Leviticus 25 lived out in the Silicon Valley.
EPAMade is currently incubating 3 social businesses in East Palo Alto, CA: EPAMade (eCommerce store for handmade goods), EPAShop (boutique thrift store), EPAShip (logistic warehouse services). Through these businesses in East Palo Alto we are committed to creating jobs for the single mothers community. We have also launched 4 social businesses in the Tenderloin in San Francisco, CA: TLMade (eCommerce store for handmade goods), TLThrift (thrift store), TLClean (local park cleaning service), and TLMunch (pop-up cafe). These businesses are committed to creating jobs for those in drug & alcohol recovery programs and anti-recidivism programs.
